Kavita Dawson, President
Ms. Dawson has been with the companies since 1992 and has been President since 1997. She has a Bachelors Degree in Business from the University of Virginia and worked as a CPA in a large public accounting firm for 7 years before joining the company. She is responsible for sales, business development, marketing, quality control and operations for Maven.


Ajay Wadhwani, Executive Vice President
Mr. Wadhwani has been with the companies since 2001. He has a Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Maryland, and worked for NASA upon graduating. After five years at NASA, he left to become the General Manager of a turbocharger factory in Sao Paulo, Brasil. He then joined Tilly Industries in Montreal, Canada and oversaw that manufacturing operation from 2001 to 2005. He is responsible for Sales and Manufacturing for Maven.

Jose Velazquez, Vice President of Sales, Ibero-American Region
Mr. Velazquez worked for Kessler International in the 1990s before assuming a key diplomatic role with the Nicaraguan Government . After that assignment ended, he rejoined the Maven team and is responsible for the sale of railroad and marine products in Mexico, Central and South America, Spain and Portugal. He completed his undergraduate studies in Brazil and has an MBA from INCAE in Central America. Mr. Velazquez is fluent in English, Spanish and Portuguese.

Chris Paulston, Sales Manager, Carl M Cummings
Mr. Paulston has been with the companies since 1998. He holds a Masters Degree in Public and International Affairs from the University of Pittsburgh, and worked as a professor at the ESITC Engineering University in Normandy, France for six years prior to joining the company. He is responsible for sales of Carl M Cummings Valves Worldwide.


Behnam Farzam, Vice President, International Defense Sales
Mr. Farzam has been with the companies since 1993. He holds a Bachelors of Science in Aeronautical Engineering and a Masters of Business Administration from the American University. He is responsible for sales of military products to overseas customers.



Frank T. Ruggiere Jr., Sales Manager - Military Hardware & Fasteners
Mr. Ruggiere holds a Bachelors Degree in Business from King’s College, Wilkes-Barre, PA. He was President/Owner of GFC Industries, Inc. from 1986 until its merger with Maven in April 2011. Frank is responsible for sales and business development of the Military Hardware & Fasteners Division at Maven Engineering Corp.



Georges Chaveca, General Manager - Canada
Mr. Chaveca joined the companies in 2007 and is responsible for the Tilly Industries manufacturing division in Montreal, Canada. He has over 30 years of technical experience in Mechanical and Electrical engineering jobs, including 22 years with TransCanada Pipelines. He is responsible for sales, production and product development at Tilly.

David Hyden, Quality Manager
Mr. Hyden is a Six Sigma Black Belt and American Management Association certified manager. He has over 25 years of technical electro-mechanical manufacturing and engineering experience in fields ranging from semiconductor capital equipment to household commercial products. He has served in several levels of management including Director in his career. He joined Maven Engineering Corp as Quality Manager in 2009.
